It’s freaking Friday! How does it get any better than that? Today we continue to talk about the different things that will help us get up early in the morning. Why do we continue to talk about this? Because how you start your day will set the tone for the rest of the day.
It's been said that nobody actually likes waking up early, but everyone loves the feeling of having woken up early.
Reminds me a ton of the gym as well. I really do struggle almost every day to go there. But the feeling I have when I am done, and the way my body consistently feels, makes it all worth it. Truth is that waking up early is never really that fun to do. But there are a few things that will help make it a lot easier.
- Set up your intentions before bed- The first thought you have in the morning is usually the same as the last thought before you went to bed. Like I said before, if you go to bed saying, “Oh man, I can’t believe I have to get up in 6 hours”, it is highly likely you will wake up saying, “I can’t believe it has already been 6 hours.” So, the key is to create a positive expectation for the next morning. Create how great the process of bed is going to bed. Visualize that shiz, baby!
- Move your alarm clock across the room- Motion creates energy. “This forces you to rise from bed and engage your body in movement.” I learned this concept from Brad Conant. Seems to be working pretty well for him. DishOne’s #1 rep for the summer last year. Might want to pay attention to this concept. It works!
- Drink a full glass of water- This is actually crucial when it comes to putting your body in the right state of mind. Plus, it helps to do a couple mindless things to get the body going. I never knew this, but often times when a person feels fatigue it is not because they are tired, it is because they need more water. Drink the water as fast as it is comfortable to you. The objective is to rehydrate your body and mind as fast as possible.
- Get dressed in your workout clothes- it’s all about getting ready and moving from your bedroom so you can start your miracle morning.
The more research that I do and the more books that I read, the more I realize that success comes from simple, calculated concepts that are repeated over and over again.
And the concepts above are not rocket science, but they freaking work. And if you do them, it will be a lot easier to get up early. And if you get up early and take advantage of your morning, you WILL BE more successful.
