I sincerely hope that everyone had a fantastic weekend with family and friends. Today we are continuing to talk about persistence, and pushing like hell to accomplish your dreams. I heard the quote once that states, “your real job is your dreams.” In our industry of door to door sales, we hear the following term all the time, “when are you going to get a real job?”
Let’s think about this for a second. An opportunity for financial freedom that you really can’t find in too many other places. An opportunity to grow and treat it like your own business. Doing it around people who uplift, edify, and challenge you every day. Combined with personal growth that is life changing to be honest with you. “Not a real job, huh?”
Sounds like the American dream to me!
What would you be able to accomplish if you were to follow your heart? Life really is meant to be simple, but we complicate the hell out of it. We sit around second guessing ourselves, and waiting for circumstances to just happen. Then we deal with them, and do it all over again. Too many people of the world live 70 years in reactive mode. Why? For what reason? For what gain? So that someone can sit around and determine your paycheck, the size of your house, the vacations you have to settle for, and the fun that you have? I am not in any way calling the people who live this way, bad people. In fact, I have a few family members and friends that live this way, and I still love the crap out of them. They live their lives just going through the motions. It’s because they are too busy talking about their dreams, instead of freaking living them.
Along with those friends of mine who live their lives reporting to someone else, I have several friends and family that are the complete opposite. They don’t sit around and complain, they get up and create. They may get nervous and second guess themselves here and there, but it never stops them from going after their goals. They are so passionate about what they do, that it absolutely drives them to lengths that you would never of thought imaginable.
I have friends who barely made it through high school, who run multi-million dollar companies of their own. How did they get there? Spend 5 minutes with them and you will find out really quick. Passion, purpose, love, desire, work ethic that is unstoppable, humility, love for others, and above all, they enjoy life because they follow THEIR heart. Not someone else’s. It’s THEIR dream! Not someone else’s.
