Today is one of those days where I feel like shaking it up a little. I want to talk a little today about some of the things I have really started to understand over the course of the last few months, and how grateful I am for these lessons. The older I get and the more books I read, the more I understand how to live my life. So that is the first thing I want to express my gratitude towards. Books! I am super grateful for the amazing men and women that sacrificed their time and experience to make mine better through reading their books. Reading has taken my life to a whole new level and is helping me to make fewer mistakes, to make more money, to have stronger relationships, to overcome trials quicker and more efficiently, to become closer to God, and so much more.
I am thankful for a book that I am reading right now called, Helping Your Anxious Child Step by Step Guide. The principles from this book are helping me to alter the thoughts of my son, which in turn, is changing his life. I am grateful for another one of my morning reads, which is called The Magic of Thinking Big. This book is amazing. It has taught me how to use my time better, how to focus on the most important things first, how to have a vision that is so big that it is almost laughable. I am super grateful for the book we are dissecting together on this blog; The Happiness Advantage.
This book is teaching me first and foremost that happiness is without a doubt a choice.
It is teaching me that my success goes up when my happiness does. It is also teaching me that with simple changes in mindset and actions, we can go from being upset to a whole different state of mind.
If you want a roadmap to where you want to go and how to get there so much faster, ‘Freaking Read!’ One of the best things you can do for your day is to take as many opportunities as possible to read. Read during your power hour. Listen to books while you are at the gym. Listen to books on your way to and from work. Read for a bit before you go to bed. Read when you are sitting on a plane. Read when you are sitting on the pot. Substitute your Facebook browsing for some knowledge learning. Substitute that television show, to learn how to run your life more effectively. Substitute an extra hour in bed, to learn how to be happy. Today I am thankful for books, for they have changed my life and can do the same for you too.
Give me that knowledge, Cram
