I opened up my book to start to prepare my blog, but I feel like I need to go off the cuff today…….again.  Haha.  I apologize for all the rants these days.  But when I have something on my mind, I will ALWAYS share it.  So hopefully today’s message reaches who it is supposed to reach.  Today I would like to talk about mediocrity.  As I have said on countless blogs, I am very hard on my kids when it comes to giving it their all in everything they do.  If they are going to cut a corner while practicing basketball, reading a book, doing their chores, etc, what is going to stop them from cutting corners when it comes gametime?

SO MANY people in today’s world are ok with living an average life.  They are average husbands, average fathers, average employees, and average physically and spiritually.  Because of this, they make average money, have average success, and therefore average happiness.  Let me ask you a question.  Do any of you that have kids pray at night that your kids will be average?  When was the last time a parent hoped that their child would be mediocre?  Last time I checked, God is the same way with his children.  I am 100% convinced that he put us on this earth to dominate it in every aspect.  But for hell sakes, to get there we have be aggressive!
When was the last time you started a project by saying “I am going to just do an average job at this?”  When was the last time you set a goal and said, “Let’s go ahead and make this goal average?”  NEVER!  But yet, that’s the approach many people take on life every single day.  They wake up late, skip their exercise session, come home and watch TV, sit on the internet, and do all the other damn things that make them average.  And then, guess what they do next?  They complain because their life sucks.  It’s a vicious cycle that so many people live.  If your life sucks, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!  If you aren’t happy, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!  Mediocrity is the devils version of fun.  Why?  Because mediocrity= unhappiness!

My good friends, life is so short!  You might as well enjoy the hell out of it!  How do we do that?  We break ourselves free of average.  We expect a little more of ourselves every day.  We lay in our beds at night with very little to nothing left.  That, is happiness!

Yours truly,

Average is for the birds, Cram
