Oh hello, Friday.  Fancy being a part of you today.  We are about to take you over.  I want to veer off the intentional living path today and talk about something that is ALWAYS on my mind.  It’s called, Thinking Big!

I freaking hate average!  Average is boring, non-productive, non-fulfilling, and non-satisfactory.  I know it may seem like I am a pretty intense dad, but for the most part, I am pretty laid back.  But when it comes to some principles, I will light my children up if I have to.  One of which is the importance of putting your best into every thing you do, no matter how small it is.  If I see them half-assing in a basketball game or even at practice, doing chores, trying to find something that they lost, and the list goes on, they are absolutely going to get the wrath of dad and be sent back to do it again.  Oh, and they will suffer a consequence for making the decision to be average in the first place.
So why do we select average?  Because it is comfortable and it is safe.  And who doesn’t want to be comfortable and safe?  ME!!!  To be honest with you, being comfortable literally makes me uncomfortable.  I want you to take a second and think where average has ever gotten you.  Tell me the last time it got you ahead.  And think of it in all categories of life.  Has it ever got you the supreme health you want?  Has it ever strengthened that relationship that was important to you?  Has it ever got you that promotion that you really wanted in your head, but your actions didn’t follow?  When was the last time it did something great for you?  Average is the literal enemy to great!
I want to challenge everyone on this thread to START THINKING BIG!  Get your freaking butt out of that time-wasting comfort zone and stretch yourself.  Let’s think of it in intervals of 30 minutes.

I challenge you to take 30 extra minutes each day to invest in pro-actively bettering relationships.

Take 30 extra minutes a day to increase your physical health.

I challenge you to take 30 extra minutes at work and increasing your financial opportunity.

I challenge you to spend an extra 30 minutes each day increasing your knowledge and your spirituality.

Thats 2 full hours!  I dare one of you try to tell me that you don’t have enough time to do every bit of this.  If you don’t have enough time to do it, than it is not important, and you can continue to complain your entire life about living pay check to pay check, getting sick too much, not being happy, and not being fulfilled. Because that is exactly where that path is going to take you.
Start to freaking THINK BIG!  Start wanting more.  Start expecting more.  Start doing more.  Turn off the TV and read a book.  Get out of bed and head to the gym.  Get off of Facebook and reach out to a friend or family member.  START DOING MORE!  As I have said before, you will have no better feeling at the end of each day than to lay in your bed having been everything but average.

Exhaustion=accomplishment.

Life is good,
Cram
