I am all about a great Thursday!  Leggooo!  Today, John C is talking about being urgent about seizing significant opportunities.  The first thing he talks about specifically when it comes to this is adopting the right mindset.  I believe that every one on this planet gets the opportunity to make a difference in one way or another.  But many do not seize it.  President John Kennedy once said, “There are those that look at things as they are and ask, “Why?’  I dream of things that never were and ask, ‘Why not?'”  There are so many opportunities out there in the world today.  But are we just seeing the opportunities or are we seizing them?  Funny thing is that the more people seize opportunities, the more they will see them.

There really is not time like the present.  Tomorrow is never guaranteed, and we can never get the past back.  Yesterday is too late.  John C talks about 5 ways to seize the moment, NOW!

1. Be the first to help someone- He asks us to take a second to sit and think about three people who were the first to step up and be there for you at some point in your life when you had a crisis, problem, or dire need.  Who helped you when you really needed it?  What was the difficulty you had?  What was it that stepped forward to help?  Write down their names.  What did they do?  He then asks for you to think really hard about the next question.  Who in this situation was the second person to help you?  He then says that he bets you can’t remember?  Why?  The people that often make the biggest difference are the ones that do it first.

Are you on the lookout to find people you can help?  First, you encourage them.  Encourage a family member to pursue their dream.  Encourage a co-worker to push or a promotion.  Encourage a friend to start working out to change their life.  The opportunities are there.  We just need to open our eyes, recognize them, and SEIZE them!

Average people conform to the moment.  Successful people seize it.

Yours truly,
Seizin for days, Cram
