Today is Monday! Straight up legit! As we begin, I can tell that the 15th principle from Success Principles is going to be one that applies to the masses. Titled “feel the fear, and do it anyway.” Canfield goes on to explain:

As you move forward on your journey to accomplish your goals and dreams, you are going to confront your fears.

First of all, you have to understand fear is natural. Usually, when you put yourself out of your comfort zone, you will experience fear. Take this fact for example, most of the world tries to avoid fear like the plague, and it literally stops them from accomplishing their goals and dreams. Successful people are not immune to feeling fear. Just like everyone else, these people who have experienced success have experienced fear in their journey to success, but they did not let fear stop them from fulfilling his or her dreams. They understand that fear is something to be acknowledged, accepted, and understood. They have learned to apply the 15th principle Canfield talks about, to feel the fear and do it anyway.

Why are we, as a people, so fearful? There are many who think fear is the burst of adrenaline, which we get when we are out of our comfort zone, telling us we should run away. Reflect on this personally for a second. How many times have you ran away from something hard, as soon as fear sets in? Personally, I have been in that situation before in my life. Think back to when you were two years old and you went grocery shopping with your parents. More than likely you didn’t want to go shopping. As an adult, you would not want a two year olds mentality run your life, you have a goal to buy groceries so you take the two-year-old with you. Fear is no different, in other words, acknowledge fear exists; do not let it keep you from doing important tasks.

Some people will do whatever it takes to avoid the feeling of fear, but you have to realize most desired things in life require a risk. The nature of a risk is that it does not always work out according to your plan. Life is full of risks and you will see people lose their investments, forget their lines, sometimes fall off mountains. You will see some businesses fail, you may not hit that lofty sales goal when you are going all in on it. Remember, nothing ventured, nothing gained. I have stated the principle multiple times before, you have to go all in, do not let fear stop you from fulfilling your purpose in life. I can promise you, the reason you were put here on this earth, and what you are supposed to accomplish, WILL NOT HAPPEN to the greatest extent possible, if you don’t face fear and blast through it. Face that freaking fear and blast the freak through it! That is the motto of the day, and should be the motto of your life!
