In today’s reading, Mr. Jack Canfield begins talking about his 9th principle, “success leaves clues.” One of the greatest parts about living in today’s world is, almost everything you want to accomplish has already been done before. It does not matter if it’s losing weight, running a marathon, starting a business, or pushing through a sickness you might have. Someone has already done it and left clues in the form of books, manuals, audio, video programs, university classes, seminars, and workshops. When you take advantage of this information, you will find that life is simply a game of connect the dots. All of these dots have been identified and organized by someone else. The only thing you have to do is work the system and use the blue print that has been provided by those who have come before you.

Unfortunately, most people don't take full advantage of the resources that are available.

There are several reasons why you don’t take full advantage of these resources. Often times, it never occurs to you, because you don’t see others using these resources, so neither do you. Your friends, your family members, and your co-workers are not using these resources, and another reason, it’s inconvenient. You might have to drive across town to get to a meeting. In order to get to that meeting, you would have to give up time to get there, which can be used watching TV or playing XBOX. Or, you would have to take time away from family. Connecting the dots means change, and who wants change. Connecting the dots also means hard work and well, we know where the world is trending when it comes to hard work.

Holly and I were on the topic of education yesterday. We talked about kids and private schools, and adults and college. Some of our views are very different when it comes to this topic, but we agreed on one thing,

no matter what your course is in life,

you should always be educating yourself.

Whether it is in the classroom or laying on a couch while you read a book. All that matters is, every single day you should continue to educate yourself. Continue to aim for a higher ground in your profession. Continue to learn new skills and techniques that no one else uses. Continue to invest in yourself and your future. Remember, that in life you can never stand still, you have never arrived, and if you want to truly be successful, your work is never done. Always thankful, never satisfied.
