And then it was Tuesday! One of the greatest days of the week to be alive! Today, we continue to talk about the common misconceptions when it comes to growth.

  1. The Expectation Gap – “I thought It would be easier than this.” I am not quite sure I have ever met a successful person who thinks growth comes quickly and that climbing to the top is easy. People create their own luck, through the following formula:
  • Preparation (growth) + Attitude + Opportunity + Action (doing something about it) = Luck

One of the most important things to remember is that you cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction. As I have said a million times in these blogs, “Rome wasn’t built in a day, it was build daily.” Your path to development is not going to be an easy one. You have to work for it.

Just like anything else that carries value in life, it must be worked for.

The sooner you make the transition to becoming intentional about your growth, the better it will be for you, because growth compounds and accelerates if you remain intentional about it. Maxwell, lists a few different ways you can make the change to intentional growth. Here is the first two:

  1. Ask the big question now—instead of asking yourself the question, “How long will it take?” switch it to “How far can I go?” Having this question running through your mind as often as possible will help you understand where you want to go in life and the direction you should take.
  1. Do it now—as we have said before, the world gets way too caught up in the mentality of, “I will do it later.”  W. Clement Stone once said,

that one of the best things that you can do is wake up in the morning and repeat to yourself 50 times, Do It Now!

Do not wait to make your life, relationships, financial freedom, and happiness stronger. Once again, I could not even begin to imagine where my personal life would be if I didn’t make the personal decision, every single morning to wake up and spend time self-developing. It has opened my eyes, my mind, and my heart in so many ways. Make the decision to grow a little every single day.
