I have heard that Thursday is National Baller’s Day! Let’s get it! We continue to talk about growing our capacity and becoming better.

  1. Stop Doing Important Things Occasionally and Start Doing Important Things Daily – Making your life a masterpiece requires much thought, a clear idea, and good, sound choices. How do you do that? By doing the important things every day. Henry David Thoreau once said, “If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life which he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. He will pass the invisible boundary!” To be able to accomplish your goals and dreams, you HAVE TO be doing what is important every day. “To do what’s not important does nothing for you.” Daily growth leads to personal expansion.

How do we choose what is important and what is simply wasting our time? I remember in Think and Grow Rich, Napolean Hill says that if what are are doing is not moving you towards your goals and dreams, its a waste of time. I find myself to be a pretty disciplined person, with a very strong purpose. But as I sit here writing this blog, I think of the time that I waste every single day. Time that could be spent educating myself, accomplishing more at work, and being a better dad and husband. And what pops into my mind are the 3 or 4 times a day I jump onto Facebook while I am in randoms places with a few minutes to spare. Although I like to stay connected, much of it is wasted time.

If I waste just 10 minutes a day, which is about right, that’s 60 hours during the course of the year. A lot can be accomplished in 60 freakin hours.

Truth is that we have the potential to make progress every day until we die, if you have the right attitude about growth. Growth really does have a lot to do with our attitude. What is your attitude when it comes to learning and growing? Do you strive to listen, learn and try to aim for a higher ground each day? Or are you pretty stuck in your ways, pretending that you know all and that it would be tough for you to aim higher? New flash! Your success will come to an end if you conform to what you already have and stop pushing for what you don’t.

Take the time to prioritize your life. Where do you waste time each day? Are you being proactive at all times, pushing yourself in the direction of hitting your goals and dreams? I can promise you one thing, if you have an attitude of getting better, and an attitude of cutting out the crap for more and more good, your life changes forever. I am serious, it will change forever.

Yours truly,

Changing forever, Cram
