I wanted to shake this up a little bit today. Many times this blog will come from what I read in my power hour session that morning. But for today, I want it to be about what I learned while I was in OKC the last couple days. Some people in this world were born with great circumstances. They were raised in a family environment that taught them correct principles. They were loved, praised, recognized and protected by the ones they love. That was my life as a child and I am every day thankful for it. On the other hand, there were some that were not as lucky. They fought for food, love, time from their parents, and many other things. In many cases, they were asked to fend for themselves. And the beautiful thing is that, they did.
I had the ultimate pleasure of spending some time the last couple days with some who were not as lucky as I was. But yet, they fight. But yet, they push. But yet, they continue to find a way to defy all the odds to become someone special. And that is exactly what they are, freaking special. I am always humbled to be in the presence of Alex Zblewski and the people he calls his family. And the more time I spend with them, the more they become my family as well. I just wanted to say thank you to the Money Gang region, and to every one else that lays their life on the line to make a name, despite your upbringing or your circumstances. You are all such great examples to me.
One of the things that sticks out to me the most is how thankful they are for the simple things. A simple hat, hug, or compliment is so incredibly received and appreciated. And that is what I wanted to pass on as the message today. Be thankful for what you have. Make sure you are spending time every single day realizing how truly blessed you are. Make sure you are taking the time to thank the good man upstairs and all the others that bless your life so much.
Life is good when you are giving thanks
Couldn’t be more thankful, Cram
