Freaking Tuesday! Why the hell not? Let’s get it! We continue to talk about the program called S.A.V.E.R.S. A= Affirmations- Muhammad Ali once said,
It’s the repetition of affirmations that leads to belief. Once belief becomes a deep conviction, things begin to happen.
Ali affirmed the words, “I am the greatest” over and over again, until they became a reality. “Affirmations allow you to design and then develop the mindset (thoughts, belief, and focus) that you need to take any are of your life to the next level. Ask others like Oprah, Will Smith, and Jim Carrey what they think about the power of affirmations. Ask me what I think as well. I could sit here for days with story after story of how affirmations have changed my life. And because it has changed my life, it has now started to change the lives of my friends, children, and now my wife.
Your self-talk has a dramatic impact in the success of every aspect of your life. Confidence, health, happiness, relationships, etc., and here is the thing, your affirmations are either working for or against you. “If you don’t consciously design and choose your affirmations, you are susceptible to repeating and reliving the fears, insecurities, and limitations of your past.” As you say things out loud, they start to make an impression on your subconscious mind. Your affirmations go to work to transform the way you look and feel. Many of us have programming that makes our lives more difficult. Others find a way to be happy and successful because that is all they talk about, starting with themselves.
With enough repetition, your sub-conscious mind will begin to believe what you tell it, act on it, and eventually manifest it into reality. “Putting your affirmations in writing makes it possible for you to choose your new programming so it moves you towards that desired condition or state of mind by enabling you to consistently review it.” Constant repetition will lead to acceptance by the mind, and result into changes in your thoughts, beliefs and behaviors. There are some simple steps you can follow while creating your affirmations. We will go over them tomorrow. Until then, let me end by saying this. Positive affirmations have changed the course of my entire. This is a concept that I spend time going over with my kids every night and on the way to school. We become what we think about and say all day long. What are you saying to yourself all day?
